In the US, at least, the vast majority of death threats are empty threats, and can discounted. It is possible that the letter was ignored because it was thought not to be one of those few non-empty death threats.

 Isn't summer break over? Oh, well, I never did get a summer break anyway because I'm busy working.
I should have spent my days off during school more wisely - I wasted most of it sleeping, watching TV, etc. Sometimes you don't appreciate the value of something until you lose it. To have a couple of months off during the summer to do whatever you want ... those days are long gone. |
