Well Atlantis ends on a relatively high note, Tjatse was finally taken down. I had a lot of fun too and would definitely be up for a rematch.

Unfortunately, he seems to have decided to keep pounding on the underdogs instead Just at the time I handed Mictlan a new crushing defeat (169 eagle warriors and a province lost by him against 85 white ones lost by me),

A defeat, yeah. It happened due to a stale on my part though.
A brief history of Mictlan:
Expansion went smoothly until Bandar Log was encountered. Then followed a series of mistakes. I kept underestimating the monkeys, and lost a lot of time and troops in battles that achieved nothing.
I altered my strategy, no longer trying to simply roll over them, but out-expand and out-produce. It was working, I think. Then Atlantis and R'lyeh attacked, and I pretty much considered it game over at that point. Even though they were fought off victory on the larger scale was no longer possible.
Rematch would be fun but I might be in too many games already.

Re: Storm. New Game for Newbies: Game is on!
The map was quite unbalanced, I had lots of farmland in the empire area. But it sure was fun. I had 7 arti/con6 kitted iron angels flying around, but not enough mage power to be much use against Jotunheim at any point. My mages were good in a few things, and that was spamming hell of a lot of spells that kill chaff, but that's it. Jotunheim had lots of SCs before I got my hands on iron angels myself. I think my scouts saw ice devils and other devils around there somewhere. Too bad i would've gotten earth kings next turn, but i doubt they would've made much difference. Provided that Jotunheim didn't have them yet, which i doubt since they don't have any natural e mages.
But I got to admit, it was fun. And that one hilarious 125% forge bonus priest smith did get me some nice items (Basically I had +90% forge bonus for all my mages since turn 40-something. So free items for me.)
Oh and for a rematch, I'd like to hop in. With another nation this time. While ulm was fun, it was rather simple. Mass cheap units with awesome armor and weaponry, send them to the fields to get killed, and repeat.

Sure, let's go for a rematch, but with different nations.

Re: Storm. New Game for Newbies: Game is on!
Do you guys have a map that you want to play on? I prefer roomy maps myself. Also do you want to have one of the maps with special provinces? I'm leaning toward "poke in the eye" at this time. Yeah I know its a weird map, but I like it and would like to try it MP. Any comments?
