Heh. You two smashed heads, eh? I would love to see it, myself...
Btw, this weekend is a holiday for us Canuckleheads, and I'm going away for vacation. The latest I would be able to get a turn in would be 07:00 - 09:00 GMT, Saturday August 4th. Then I won't be be able to get a turn in until around 07:00 - 09:00, *TUESDAY* (not Monday, damned GMT miscalcs : ) August 6th.
What I can do, if you'd like, is post again in this thread when I've done the last turn I'll be able to before my trip, and ask you to delay it so I don't stale out.
Let me know.
Edit: Corrected return time.

Yes. Definitely post a reminder or better yet, PM it to me.

I don't mind at all. But how do I do that?

Well, the way we were discussing doing it in jaguar was to post an attachment of your turn files from that turn- but waiting five turns so people don't get intelligence that could be dangerous.
And, yeah, we definitely cracked heads. AWIY went AWOL when he was supposedly needing aid against C'tis, so it came down to C'tis vs. me.

Re: Chinchilla - Delay game?
I had another look at the battle. Definitely a crack of a lot of heads .
If I post my turn files does that mean everybody can see the messages I received that turn as well? Because in that case I'd rather you post the turns, so no information on diplomatic relations between C'tis and other players becomes public (even with a 5-turn delay. C'tis was involved in some very high-level politics )

Well, I'd be willing to try.
Your politics statement worries me, though.

I assume that we are not playing with Vegas rules in this, correct?

Refresh my memory please. Vegas rules means "Nobodies word is any good, but let's all make NAP agreements anyhow." Do I have that right? I only read about Vegas rules once and I may have been confused as to the meaning.
I don't believe that Vegas rules were mentioned one way or the other in this thread until now.

Pretty much. I'm just not sure what we're assuming to be the default here.

Re: Chinchilla - Delay game?
My guess would be that Vegas is not the default, though I don't have a ton of MP experience to make the call. I do know that if a NAP isn't worth the pixels it's printed on I wouldn't waste my valuable time negotiating for nothing.

Re: Chinchilla - Delay game?
There are no rules regarding NAPs in this game. At least for the time being llamabeast is not specifying these on games on his server.
You can agree to a NAP with no intention of honoring it and proceed to violate it. People shouldn't hold a grudge outside of the game and you certainly won't be kicked out of it. But you also can't complain if it makes players disinclined to deal with you.

I'm not sure what the difference is between "holding a grudge outside of the game" and "not trusting a player." I would certainly never trust a player in another game who was dishonest in an earlier one. Does that constitute a grudge? How about letting people in the most recent game know about the players history?
It seems that one can easily go too far in either direction. You can be a rampant liar/betrayer and then what's the point of diplomacy? or you can be Mr. NeverAttacksAnyone because you don't want to hurt anyones feelings. I guess it's a side affect of having persistent player personalities in repeatedly new wars. Probably covered by game theory.
