Skaven
Sadly, the nation of Skaven passes from the face of the lands.
Biggus Rattus slinks off into the forests to live among the rats of the wild, bearing with him the history of his fallen nation.
Thanks everyone for a great game! Loads of fun.

Re: Skaven
Thousands of man hours the Ulmish troops spent digging graves for the furry and overgrown rodents also known as Skaven. Even more time was spent burying their smaller cousins - the brown rats - that bravely tried to stand up on their wee little back legs, taking arms against the human aggressors. Clad in massive black steel, the Ulmish troops had no choice but to impale and splatter them with their heavy weapons or else they get inside their armor, gnawing off precious objects.
A commander of Ulm was asked why he let his troops occupy themselves with the menial task of digging graves for tiny rats. He answered that they partly did it honor the little furries (as he called them) for their bravery, but mostly to hide their hideous smell. "These rats smell way more than normal rats, like small furry factories of toxic waste gone bad..."
Some days ago a detachment of the 3rd Fist of Steel regiment found a cave deep inside the polluted forest believed to be the source of the rat mutation. Just outside the dark hole a large number of rats wearing "cute" (as one soldier described it) robes were seen, apparently occupied with some strange a ritual. The troops surprised them mightily, giving them no time to prepare any nasty magic spells. Stretching their tiny paws into the air one of the rats suddenly signaled to the others. In a flash everyone threw of their robes, dropped on all four and scurried away in all directions. Left on the ground was a big pile that could only be described as loot. The soldiers understandably forgot all about any rats.
Some weeks later a rat assassin we caught (in the act) told us that that what the troops had seen by the cave was probably the great meeting of Grey Seers. He also told us that the leader of that circle, the Great Grey Seer Biggus Rattus, had been missing for several weeks.
"He will return!", the prisoner screamed when we released him in the forest along with the other rats a couple of days later. Then a large owl swooped down and promptly ate him. "Back to nature", the King of Ulm said smiling, his first smile in years.

The death of Buzzard the dragon
Finding the mortally wounded dragon hiding in his cave lair, the hero Ruprecht drew his trusted "Faithful", a sword of great power, to finally slay the beast. Buzzard, murderer of over 200 Ulmish soldiers and peasants, had been pierced by a dozen of arbalest bolts in the battle before, and now lay panting inside. Although he could barely move it was to be a fierce battle between them.
Outside the cave less valiant men stood and nervously waited for the outcome. Would Buzzard fly out to slay them all, or would Ruprecht victoriously emerge with the dragons head on a pike?
After what seemed like ages Ruprech suddenly stood before them covered in blood. "It is done", he said. And everyone around him exploded with joy and tears flowed from their eyes.
"All hail the dragon slayer!"
Here is a picture depicting the epic struggle between Ruprecht and the dragon Buzzard. Also seen to the left is one of the maidens Buzzard (the evil) supposedly took and captured.

WAR!
Ulm's final chapter begins soon. Caelum has suffered their just reward for their unprovoked attack on the glorious nation of Ermor. They are no more, their lands absorbed by the Grand Empire of Ermor.
But Caelum has foolishly Awakened our Hunger.
The dead march! We seek a new target, and Ulm has much vital essence for our minions to devour. Tremble Ulm! Our non-agression pact is over. Soon you too will fall to the voracious hordes of Ermor! We are ever honourable; we give you the three-turn warning promised in our agreement. It is currently Turn 39. On Turn 41 we give the orders, and our minions invade on Turn 42.
Ulm will fall.

A justified war - a crusade against evil
As the king of Ulm is now finished weeding out the rats from his kingdom, he feels it will be pleasure to meet your forces on the field of battle.
He hopes that through this war strengthen his honor and reputation, as ridding the world of any undead evils is such a virtues deed.

Re: TigerCat - new MA game (recruiting)
Abysia is looking for earth gems! We are willing to trade fire gems 4:3 (4 fire for 3 earth) or Air or Water for Earth 1:1

Re: TigerCat - new MA game (recruiting)
Well we had shadloads of earthgems until the last little while.
Spent some unsucessfully empowering a Capricorn on land. I know they lose some magic when they venture ashore but had forgotten that they go to minus ONE in paths that they never possessed. So I spent 50 gems empowering a mage to earth mage level ZERO. Yay ...
Then why don't you empower someone else ? you know someone who is a level zero mage to start with, then slap on some boosters and cast a rather expensive summoning spell (not for a unique unit mind you).
Well then nothing will turn up.
Its great to spend well north of 150 earth gems to yield nothing ... except three or four turns of lost mage time.
We knew we should have stayed underwater, neighbours kept telling us it would be for the best, but did we listen ... no, no, NO.
Well water under the bridge and all that ... its not like 150 gems are useful for anything

Re: TigerCat - new MA game (recruiting)
Any chance we can get this put on a 48 hour clock? It's getting harder and harder to get my moves in...
