Oh, I have another idea... maybe we can put you through the transporter and the bio-filters should remove the toxin from your body.

We'll freeze him in the hope that some day in the distant future, medicine would have advanced enough to cure him. If all goes well, the doctors of the future will thaw him out and treat him.

That of course assumes that a cure to Xantus poisons can ever be found in the future.
