..........so unit 815 start date will ( probably depending on delivery ) change to 9/122

Re: SP and SPAA Developments
Looks like the first M270 MLRS arrived in in the Ukraine on the July 15th these should be the UK versions which are slightly more advanced than ours as they've been upgraded. I suggest the UK models are there as they were the first to get approval from the U.S. to send them there. Also, as I've posted a couple of weeks back, we found out taha the training has been going on a lot earlier then was reported.
I'm sure was to maintain a level of operational security and deception.
https://www.armyrecognition.com/defe...n_ukraine.html
However, the USA this past week received the first upgraded M270A2 which sees many improvements.
https://www.armyrecognition.com/defe...o_us_army.html
Looks like GEPHARD won't arrive until possibly the end of this month but likely in August. Training has apparently been going well the delay came from the German Gov't.
Spain is still trying to get their former LEOPARD 2A4 tanks to the Ukraine. See the above for who's delaying that as well.
Unless we're all going to get a big surprise, I'm starting to think the German LEOPARD 1A5 tank deal might not happen for the Ukraine.
Regards,
Pat

Re: SP and SPAA Developments
Refer to Posts #217 & #221 for the following if needed.
I feel strongly I can confirm those M270 MRLS that arrived in the Ukraine on the 15th of this month are from the UK.
I already knew the UK started training crews on theirs before Norway and Germany and us "bringing up the rear".
Also, the following ref. tells me the same, for what it's not saying concerning the M270 MRLS. It does NOT mention "Training is still ongoing..." or "The M270 MRLS upon completion of training is expected to be delivered sometime..."
Why does this matter about who sent it?
Because the UK versions have fairly recently been updated (FCS etc. etc.) almost to the standard of our new M2 version which the USA just took delivery of the FIRST UNIT last week. This also allows for the firing of the newer longer-range ATACMS (300km Rng.) missiles.
But for immediate game value, concerning the UK version it has a much better protected crew cab and a new engine which will increase its speed.
You'll also note in the first ref. that the UK helped the Ukraine buy the additional ( 20) Belgium M109A4BE 155mm tracked self-propelled howitzers they didn't buy.

Re: SP and SPAA Developments
The nice thing we do have going with all this equipment is...
1. The Ukraine isn't changing the names of what they're getting, which means...
2. We just have to bring them over from the donating countries OOB's unchanged SINCE they're sending their front-line equipment in most cases with the same ammo. This I know is a simplistic to all get really is involved.
Not much but, again could be worse.
Regards,
Pat
