Re: Help on AI here
Oleg, I think that those settings are marked: Warning - use only if your first name is dog spelled backward!
I've been playing for 6 months and I don't think I could beat that.

Re: Help on AI here
Deadstar: Me no expert on the AI but, in designcreation you put the number (found in techarea.txt file) for your prefferred weapon in the primary slots (eg wave motion #1, null in #2, etc). Secondary I normally use for PD. That at least will get weapons sorted out for you.
Next area is research: there you can, if feel comfy doing it, get you fav weapon researched early. Just make sure that any pre-required weaon/technology is researched first.
If ya want a MOD with variety, the B5 MOD, when finished will ahve plenty of that. Each primary race has its own, special weapon system(s) and techs. It is in beta stage atm with not all race tech fully implemented.
Like Rollo and oleg said: max out the bouns, etc for the AI races and have the ones mentioned as your enemies. They'll give you a go ....

Why not just handpick them with "Add existing Empire", instead of multiple restarts?

Re: Help on AI here
Wasn't there a designcreation cheat sheet out at one time? I think Atraikas (sp?) did it....

Rollo No,no, my comment was directed to have them right next to you Any sort of buffer zone increase yor chances of survival manifold. Handpicking of your pest enemies is course preferable !

What kind of engine does a "survival manifold" come off of? I think I might have found one in some ruins in Junkyard Wars 2, but I can't colonize Gassy planets, so you'll have to come take a look at it yourself...

Re: Help on AI here
Heres the doc on design creation that I did, I haven't updated it for a long time but it may help some. I also posted a revised Version of the AI spreadsheet I put together that fixed a few miss-spellings in the original.
