I can't picture what you're doing with that brief explanation. Have a book or a website I can go to to see a detailed description?

All the ships in SE IV have inertialess drives like in E.E. Doc Smith's Lensman series. When playing MOO2 I got very tired of my clunky DS slowly turning to present an undamaged shield facing. I am pleased with SE IV which automatically reroutes shield power to the facing where it is needed. In other words, there is an explanation for everything. Some things are just not worth modeling. I can live without hexes, have played with them in other games and just do not care.
