I'm 37 too! or almost 37 hehe. And I've still got my full head of hair, although they've recently accelerated in their march towards whiteness. I'm kinda enjoying the Xmen look though

My hairs keep threatening to turn white, ever since I got married, but so far I haven't been 100% certain about any of them.

I think there are a lot more "older folk" on these forums than the average for an "average" computer game. It's just the kind of game that's naturally going to appeal to someone looking for a deeper-and broader, and slower-game experience, and more people are going to reach the point of wanting that at a later age than they are coming out of (or going into) highschool.

That's not to say that we don't have some younger people, or that we shouldn't. I personally hope we do.

I have a deep-seated fear that society's going to finally come up with some media masterstroke which will lure in and subvert the last few people in this world I can have a deep and meaningful conversation with, and then medical science will come along with a way for me to live forever.

That aside, I'd just put more money on the ones who are young being extraordinary, and of a mindset that will most likely cause them no end of problems until they *are* 30+

It's not really an age factor though, it's a matter of taste, and being introduced to the right influences at the right time-whether you're 80 or 20 or 2.

Ofcourse, the basic model of the game-huge, turn-based, niche wargame-is a thing that's going to be recognizeable and appreciated by older people, simply because we're the only ones who can remember back far enough to the days of tabletop wargames.

When we *can* remember anything, that is

I had the nagging suspicion that you were a remarkably talented youth, Shovah, if you'll please forgive the term.

Nice to know I can still read people a bit. Not that you've ever acted in an "immature" way that I've noticed, or in a way that would point to your age-which is to your credit. It's just that you shine brightly, if you take my meaning, more brightly than someone who's been hammered by the world as much as I have expects from an older person, even one to whom the years have been gentle.

P.S. A good case of angsty adolescence will last until you're in your mid-20's.

26 over here (ooo lookie, I fit into KO's demographic!).

I'd also like to state a prediction that DOM fans tend to be more educated that average. What with the immense complexity of the nations and all and the mythology and history thrown in. It's a lot more in depth than just running around killing things.

I HOPE I'll be playing games and whooping it up with I'm in my fifties. That sounds awesome!
