critisism is how you "constantly improve". But I agree only when its constructive.

Re: winSPWW2 Launches Its Worldwide Assault!
Frankly I doubt anyone has a clue what I'm talking about. I'm not talking about any ol' encyclopedia from any ol' screen. It was from one screen ONLY. Unfortunately I forgot about checking this before I left home today, so maybe I will remember tomorrow, given the backlash and all. It doesn't even bother me very much, and I made that perfectly clear earlier. I just thought somebody might want to know, but, maybe they don't. Anyway, tomorrow (sunday evening) I will be on it.

Re: winSPWW2 Launches Its Worldwide Assault!
We know EXACTLY what it is you are asking us and we keep telling you the answer.
YOU said....."I could have swore the DOS version allowed me to access other nations in the encyclopedia when I was forming my core. IIRC this version does not "
Here's a screen shot of me "forming a core".
The big red arrow is beside the button you press to access the encyclopaedia. Once there click on the flag button
and you can chose whatever nation you want to look at
OK? Or have I missed some subtle nuance of your question?
Here's where you click on to get to the encycloapedia from the upgrade screen.
Once there follow the same procedure as detailed above

Don, Andy - I know over the past few weeks several minor bugs (smoke in campaigns, etc) have been fixed. Is the CD shipping with those fixes, or will the first patch for CD and DL versions be coming later?
Thanks!

There is a necessary lead time between when we send the game to Shrapnel to be burnt and when it's issued for release with the printed start up guide and the packaging so the CD version you get will be the same version as the DL. When we issue the patch it will upgrade both games. The EXE is identical for both.

Re: winSPWW2 Launches Its Worldwide Assault!
I'm sorry DRG, I was wrong. I have tried doing the same thing and it works instead. I'm not sure if I missed the flag and thought I hit it, or that I'm so used to more modern software that I'm unused to seeing descriptive text at the 'top' of the screen, or that the flag just looked like decor to fill a large empty space for some reason. In any event it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me because as I've mentioned before I've played this sort of game since back in the Panzer Strike/Kampfgruppe days.

Re: winSPWW2 Launches Its Worldwide Assault!
We couldn't put all the flags for all the nations in WinSPww2 in that space let alone all the ones in WinSPMBT. There wasn't room. So, we put in one button that allows access to another screen that has ample room for all the nations in both WinSPMBT and WinSPWW2 .

Don, that's what I was guessing, I was just, you know, being hopeful out loud.
