Re: Who wants to see a Star Trek Mod for SEV ?
I hope that never comes to pass... Aaron has far better things to spend his time on than legos. GalCiv2 has already shown us what happens when you waste tremendous amounts of development time on it.

Re: Who wants to see a Star Trek Mod for SEV ?
Would it be possible to put like 3 hulls of one size class into the game so that when you go to build your ship, could choose which hull you wanted to use for building?

You mean like in MOO2? I remember there being several "frigate" pictures, several "destroyer" pictures, etc. for each "shipset"...

Re: Who wants to see a Star Trek Mod for SEV ?
Atrocities has done some amazing things for Space Empires, from the line of shipsets that no one can live without to some damn fine modding and attention to detail in his Mods.
If he's tired or frustrated of modding at the moment, I for one say give him a break. He's earned it.
And, Fyron's right. Somebody else could certainly step up to the plate and try their hand at a SEV Star trek mod. That's not strictly a load Atrocities need carry

Yes, and that could actually be done in SE4/5 by adding 3 copies of each vehicle size that reference different pictures/models. You would lose the ability to retrofit between hull pictures/models though. It might be interesting to see something like this codified into SE6 (naturally, the extra model calls should be optional, since having to make 3+ variants for every model is a lot of extra design work).

Re: Who wants to see a Star Trek Mod for SEV ?
I was thinking more along the lines of three (just a number out of the air) hulls with each one having a different capability. Say like:
1-Speed +1 (Ship design)
2-Additional hit points (stealth design factor or "heavy hull")
3-Miniaturization of ~5 to 10% (special role type ship)
You get the idea.
Could you add the hulls in this manner?

Re: Who wants to see a Star Trek Mod for SEV ?
Hmm, you might be able to do that in SE5...
The speed you could do with a bonus similar to the Propulsion Experts trait (not sure if it would stack with that or not)...
The additional HP you could simulate by adding damage resistances similar to the crystalline energy dampener, but for all weapon delivery types...
The miniaturization you could simulate by simply making the hull slightly larger to accomodate more components.

Would love to see a trek mod for SEV, can't wait for the B5 to be done. I've actually added a few trek like components into my own.
