Re: Retreating and dying. Is this a bug or my ignorance ?
It seems you have met one of the most annoying bug of this game imo.

Altho if it is the replay bug then a fix is scheduled for the next patch.
Everyone vote to greenlight Dominions 3 onto Steam so we can get the patch.

Re: Retreating and dying. Is this a bug or my ignorance ?
There are several identified causes of the replay bug, and potentially many more as yet unknown. According to the progress page only one of those causes has so far been fixed for the next patch (the one relating to seasonal units).
The replay bug might be fixed in the next patch, but as it stands now, and reading between the lines, the replay bug will still exist in the next patch, there will just be one less cause of it (not counting any fixes that are still to come before the patch is releases, or fixes that have not yet been added to the progress page)

* Units with seasonal powers could give a battle replay inconsistency, fixed.

Re: Retreating and dying. Is this a bug or my ignorance ?
From what I talked with Johan, there were also some more battle inconsistency fixes, but they were more obscure, so he may not have listed them. I know more than just seasonal units has been fixed, but not exactly what.
I guess we'll get to find out when (if) the patch goes live.

Re: Retreating and dying. Is this a bug or my ignorance ?
That was the information I had also.
I guess I should have again added a maybe, or possibly, or some other disclaimer style wording to it. Sorry about that.
But the insane fanboi cheerleader statement still stands. If we all vote for Dom3 so we can get it on Steam. AND we will get a patch release out of it.

Also from Johan is that another "if enough interest is shown" we could also get Raspberry Pi support added to the patch.
I still dont know if being able to play Dom3 at work is a good idea but the offer is out there.
