Bah. People offering WiFi are the ones with the responsibility to know how to use it competently so that if they don't want everyone using it, they don't allow everyone to use it.

Once again (like, the attempt to enforce export laws on encryption software), law enforcement and legal action are totally out of line due to misunderstanding of technology and/or Orwellian attitudes.
