Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
I'd vote to start now on Cradle of Dominions Map. Our number (9 or 10) should be ok for that map. It would be fun to play this weekend...maybe with QH we can get in a bunch of turns?

Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
Of course, all it takes is one person to be gone and you don't get in a lot of turns. Plus the time zone issue. But still, the early turns in a game can easily go twice per day, whether weekend or not.
I suppose I ought to take a look at cradle before voting.

Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
How many players are you looking for Frosted? I haven't uploaded yet, as I'm still testing Caelum SP, but I can do so at short notice, if it looks like we're going to go.
I'd love to see us get 14+ players, especially given that we're on Orania - but I think we've got just 7 now (including me). Anyone have any ideas on how we can get more players in?

Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
I would love to play but only up to Sep 7 (unless I can get a sub until I'm back home on the 21st)... also I'm quite n00bish...
Just letting ppl know the interest is definitely out there; it's just harder to get a game going than logging on to Battlenet or something like that... but I'm hoping D2 MP is more rewarding, of course!

Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
I suppose I should not enter yet another MP game, lol. I suppose I also ought to play a race that I at least have some decent SP experience with.
But then again, I suppose I am hooked on this game. So what the heck!
I will try my hand at Mictlan. I did play it once in SP on the the first day as my first race after I installed the game. I remember getting whipped bad by two normal(!) AIs and thinking that Mictlan was a lousy race. I mean, those wimpy national troops you can recruit are weak as all get out. And my dominion seemed to crawl outwards at a ridiculously slow rate (I didn't even know about blood sacrifices, haha).
So, I might as well give ol' Mictlan another try and see how she goes. I will work on a pretender and upload tonight or tomorrow.
Cheers.

Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
This is typical when the server does match the Version of the players. I believe that the server had not been restarted until just now, which means we were running under 2.12 up until our next turn.
Replays would therefore be innacurate and cannot be believed. I too had a couple of innacurate battle replays on my Last turn. However, since you restarted and the game is running Version 2.14 from now on, then the replays will be correct from now on.
By the way, the battle summary report will be accurate even if the replay is not.
Also, how did you manage to see a battle replay when you are not involved on either side? A scout?

Re: Creating a new MP game-Musical chairs
Hmm, if Panther is right then Frosted must be running 2.12...
Anyway, now that it's running again, us hot nations can get around to dispelling that nasty illwinter. Right Panther? Panther?
