Tried to send you a Private Message but apparently you have elected not to receive them.
I'm VERY curious about how well the V8.0 USMC does vs the Soviets/E. Germans.
Credible opponent?

The US Army, any time period with Abram tanks, vs. anyone. Great stress reliever.

My favorite is the Cold War period from early 60s to early 80s.

Re: Your Favorite Time Period/Country
I have three periods with the first one that "what if" question if Patton got his (And others.) wish and the last two though they fall within the above "what if" mostly because one represents the peak of the non TI/GSR era of the tank but also the introduction of it, the change in doctrine with the advances in ATGW and the first use of dedicated attack/air mobile helos. These were key events that prevented Soviet aggression in Europe by conventional means. The last brings economics more into play with technological advances in equipment or if you will how to make the old competitive on the battle field against the new. Also the evolving tactics of a modern army versus an enemy as old as war itself a well trained, armed and disciplined guerrilla force. So...
1. 1/46 - 12/54.
2. 1/65 - 12/89.
3. 1/95 - 12/20.
Regards,
Pat

Re: Your Favorite Time Period/Country
I like Angola, and the other conflicts in the region of Southern Africa - circa 1970-1980.
I also like more modern conflicts with a mish-mash of forces of varying quality. Red vs. Green, but with a few high tech weapons (on 'loan' from the superpowers) thrown in to spice things up.
