Well the natives seem to be friendly at this point. But I will not let my guard down. The Fryon map generated for this game is interesting to say the least. My production is ramping up and Things are moving along well. And the people I met seem to be Live let live folk. But the amount of good colonies seem hard to come by. Not sure how to approach this game. But that's why I play. I have built several ships and my economy is good. I will have to admit that all the races I have met compared to mine are butt ugly but I won't tell them that.

Well so far so good The three races I have met have made no overt acts against me and one (we will call them the BP's short for beautiful people)Have given me friendly replies to all my communications. The Russians have expanded quickly But I think they will respect my borders. And the SO's (Silent Ones) remain pretty silent. The space I am in is rich but poor at the same time. I have numerous empty systems around me. And expansion seems to be at an end. I have produced my first warships and I am sending them out. I will have to expand if I am to survive.

(names of races have been changed to protect the innocent until they prove guilty.)

Well the russians are not as friendly as I thought they would be. And by this time maybe they found out that I can be forceful also. I did have a fellow player and friend accuse me once that 'no one can live next to you goz!' Refering to a SEIV game we were playing. And other people I play with claim I can never be trusted. and nothing I do can change their minds. But no one knows me in this game so starting with a fresh slate is good. I will try to be a Good SEIV player. My Empire is doing well but I don't think well enough. The map is darn near the 13th player in this game(Fryon's Map mod) I had a closer look around my systems and it Appears I am surrounded by nebulas and black holes. I think I can turn this to my advantage.

Well I have sent out my diplomatic pouches. Hopefully this will not back fire. After examining the game It looks like it will be won or lost in the Diplomatic realm. And the ablity to make good on threats or promises. It is early in the game but being prepared for anything will be necessary also. Not as easy as saying it. I await the replies to my overtures with excitment and dread. I guess this is why I play SEIV.

It has been days since I Last posted. A lot has happened. The russians are exploring my systems and The SO's have finally spoken. I accidently stumbled on to one of the So's home systems and wa about to colonize there when I spotted my mistake and all is well. I would not like people settling in my home system.
On another note the beautiful People implied that they were in conflict with another race and since then I have contacted this race informed them that we did not like ther aggression. They communicated suprise at this charge. What an interesting state of affairs. I will have to mull this over. Mean while I have met even more races the universe is looking small but in order to win these game you must be able to expand. Or cede control of your fate to others. But there is something to be said for having polite neighbors.

I agree, I haven't seen open conflicts yet.
As if the diplomacy will win the game...I am not sure on this one.

PBW is back! I turned in my turn. IT was good to recive gifts and look at the situation again. There are to many Empires and not enough space. Things will get crowded soon. I am grimily preparing for war and hoping for peace. My neighbor to the nort seems to be a peaceful race but we are so close together I am sure that stress will be put on both Empires. Fryon's map mod well what I can see of it makes it the 21st player in the game. Hats off to Fryon.

Well things have heated up. I have a broken treaty a lost planet and I suspect that my neighbor is being run by an AI. Ah well it could be worse. It also seems the PBW being down has affected others in the game. well so be it. war has come I will stand by my friends.
