how about a java client for tradewars 2002? there are plenty of places to play that Online, and the concept is similar.

I think that most of the programs used to make these web games, ones like Black Nova, and Planetarion are php4 based.

CGI? Computer Generated Images? It has been a long while since I played Planetarion, 2001, it had no images back then. But still a lot of fun.
