Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
It hasn't been set with provinces yet. So chokepoints can be made. As far as the general province layout is what I'm looking for. More Forests in Germany would probably be nice. I can mod them in.

Very beautifull, but it challenge my geografical knowledge, were do you take th idea of the map.
If it is historical (wich one can suppose), in wich year would it have been so?

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
.. and you may want to check some of the names' locations .. maybe they are a bit off, or the map is distorted in some strange way ...

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!

it's the gaming map from medieval total war
i like the europe map idea .
would be really nice if you could make a fixed starting locations scenario and 250+ provinces .
cause i loved the europe map in the dominion 1 demo

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
Looks very good.
I also really liked the size (number of provs) of the map as it was, so I dont know how this will feel for me; also, the number of sea provs seems to be the same (good), but it will mean making sea/land interaction more rare / harder, and I dont know what that will mean either. It will also slow down the map a lot for most nations without forest/mountain survival (and hence favor Caelum, or Machaka, etc. a bit more).
Also, I would sort of make a plea for making the entire middle east region (ALTHOUGH this is tough for balance reasons) more of the wasteland that it should be, but perhaps with (greatly) increased chances of magical sites to be found, and mostly as no-start? (I love your map, it just always seemed odd to me to have so many farmland areas in the middle east.)
Thanks much in advance!

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
It looks great, Zen! Do you still accept suggestions? I understand you've "inherited" this map together with some inaccuracies. I could provide somewhat more accurate province names and border/terrain correction (if they're possible to implement) for the east and north-east of the map. I don't mean the actual map corrections (I have no skills for that), but rather a sketch what is where.

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
If you want to send me a sketch (based off the map) of names of areas that I can put into provinces I am more than willing to accept it. I like the more provinces (Just a few I don't want it over 200ish because I don't like superhuge maps, if I could get it to about 170-190 would be fine, including water provinces). Send me a PM or Email to discuss more details.

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
If anything, I think it had too many water provinces. Almost every coastal province has its own adjacent water province, and then there are the "normal" water provinces too. The geography of the water is just a little odd.
I'm not a fan of giant maps so adding more provinces doesn't do much for me

Re: Zen\'s Europe - A change!
The water provinces are a bit irregular in the way some of them allow sailors hardly any coastal advantage, and Scandinavian sailors will only be able to reach Brittain from Denmark (not Norway), but then by comparison the Black Sea is all one province with many coastal provinces all around. If these were designed with another game system in mind (perhaps it has unlimited sea movement?), that may explain it.
Sort of interesting anyway, but might be best adjusted with such things in mind.
