I looked back at a CRT screen after being on a LCD for a while... Wow, the picture looked so warped. The advantages of a LCD... Perfect color, perfect geometry... No unused space, crisp, not blurry... If your picture is blurry, you need to adjust the phase.
Ghosting is almost always due to a bad cable, not the screen itself.
LCDs do suffer when running at a resolution that dosen't evenly divide into the number of pixels on the physical screen. Either you need a black band, or most of the physical pixels will not line up with the signal.
