Re: No interest in tournament games?
Sounds like the Ladder, and the MP Hall of Fame, and other efforts. People seem to like them but they dont seem to go well. If you want, I can hold off creating new blitzes on my server in order to generate interest in the tourney games.
As a seperate item:
there was interest in the "Sitting on the fence" thread in setting up games where all of the Early Ulm people could play each other to decide who had the best Early Ulm build (and one for each other nation). It would require some modding.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
It would also only work for nations that can be achieved by modding - meaning that any nation with udnerwater and land recruitment both, any nation with freespawn, and any nation with a cool dominion power (Arco, MA Agartha) couldn't be done this way.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
I agree with you, Evilhomer, I have a heck of a lot to do this summer. Yardwork, going to the gym, and a full-time job, just to name a few. Despite that, I'm still playing a lot of Dom3, mostly because it doesn't take long to play a turn right now, even in several games.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
For me, its a lack of experience. I've got my brain full handling learning three different races - MA Agartha, LA Atlantis (CB), MA Shinuyama. I'm interested, but I won't be joining one anytime soon, since pretender design is a painfully slow process for races I haven't any experience with.
