Re: PBW: My ships can\'t move
And they've definitely got engines? I've upgraded designs before now and accidentally omitted the engines.
Are you playing a mod with Newtonian motion?(ie Pirates and Nomads V2.*) It could be you have a large ship with not enough engines to move it.
Failing the explainations above, this is a toughie.
Can you answer the following?
Like Puke says, how much movement does it tll you you have?
What hull are you using for these ships?
What engines are you using on this design? Is this the first time you've used this engine/ hull in this game?

Re: PBW: My ships can\'t move
This game I've created is turning against me...
Next turn, fleet that started the problem dissolved, tried to move ships into different directions - nothing moves!
Puke: I don't use any mod, just standar 1.41 for which I've created the game.
I have the impression that I also can't launch satellites at the moment, yet I could be wrong at that. Building stuff works.
I run another game on PBW with the same install where no problems of that kind occured, and this game is in the year 2410.
Rich04: I have the problem in two different systems. Both fleets are 3 - 5 ships, it's about the year 2404. Right now I'm trying what you suggested, turning all ministers on and off again. I had to make peace with my neighbour I had just started war with - depressing if you're playing a psychotic and bloodthirsty race!

Re: PBW: My ships can\'t move
sounds wierd. id be willing to take a look at it, if you wanted to give me access to the file. otherwise, i would recommend sending a copy of the savegame and a problem to description to MM with a note that says you stumped everyone here.

Re: PBW: My ships can\'t move
That seems to remind me of a "change orders" intel op, which has gotten stuck.
If you haven't tried this, you may want to now: quote: dissolved the fleet and then made two seperate [fleets], they moved after that
It may be the fleet creation step that gets you past the bug.

Re: PBW: My ships can\'t move
It's working again!
I don't know exactly how fixed it, yet what I tried was this:
Turning all AI ministers on and off in the same turn, like Rich04 suggested.
Dissolving fleets and moving only single ships (again).
Giving a "warp" order to one frigate.
(Btw, a population transport that was run by the AI had no probs to move all the time while everything else was stuck.

Re: PBW: My ships can\'t move
Well, it did not work for all ships, yet Puke has found out what either caused it or perpetuated the problem:
1 I had individual ministers turned on for each ship (although only resupply and transports;
2 AI setting not to make changes during a simultaneous game was ticked, so if my ships did not move for some reason, the AI would perpetuate this.
Puke, who I sent the files to, mailed me that he was able to move the ships after he changed these two settings, so this problem should have been solved by now.
Thanks for all your input. This is a very helpful and friendly forum.
