How about India / Pakistan 1975 ?
Take whatever side you wish.
I'm running the latest widescreen version here.

Skirmisher,
You were brave enough to play like this with me in the past - I salute your courage. Everyone else is a chicken!
Can't take you on at the moment, I'm afraid - RL kicked me hard last month, and I can't play as many games as I could in the past. But if you sign up at the World at war site (just click on my banner sig) I'm sure you'll find someone able to play.

Re: campaign: auto-buy
I've played a couple AI-buy force battles and find them more interesting and challenging than the comman P1 and P2 Human-buy.
Each time however *I* set-up according to the AI-buy rule and had a very exciting but different and wonderful difficult game.
IIRC the map is random also.
My question is:
Can P1 use human-buy (as a cheat) and set P2 to AI-buy while P2 is not aware?
Or is it a honor thing?

Sorry to hear that. I don't really have any desire to play PBEM,
but I would play a few people that I had enjoyable games with in the past. You would certainly be on that list. When things turn around for you send me a PM and we'll get a computer buy game going.

What does that mean exactly? As I understand it, you manually picked what "you" believe the computer would/should buy...

Where are you getting that thought process?
OH,,,,I had said "according AI Buy rules" which should mean CU buy for both sides,I should have said
ONLY
instead of "according" to be very clear.
HU deploy for both sides,,,,are you up to one?
Honorable players only, should play this way,see i just answered my own query

In the meantime, here is for example the organisation of a Soviet Motor Rifle Bn (BTR) from 1980s, as per the US Field Manual:

Do you happen to have a link to other similar OOB charts from the 80's, eg. soviet tank regiment, etc.?
It is extremely well laid out for my purposes and I like it (much better visual representation than most of the organisation of the unit and what equipment is used), but I can only find more recent FM's that aren't laid out in the same way and don't have 80's organisational information.

Re: campaign: auto-buy
search Google for a second hand copy of Isby's 1985(?) book "weapons and tactics of the soviet army" - it has what you need, chapters on organisation, weapons, tactics, equipment etc.
Should be able to find a copy for about 20 UKP/40 USD or so from second-hand booksellers

Re: campaign: auto-buy
It may be interesting to play PBEM IA purchase. We could do a test battle. Gila if you want to do one but out of "The Blitz" .
