Re: OT: Backwards Threads?
I think those backwards threads are really unwieldy (sp?), too. Makes it a real PITA to read older threads. Some forums have a button that takes you the Last post/Last page. IMO that is a much nicer way.

Webvelosix is the king of webforums.
Which is used, here: http://forum.extra-life.co.uk./index.php?action=8 for example.
Mmm...forum.

Re: OT: Backwards Threads?
If you visit every 2 days or so, or just keep tabs on a few interesting threads this way is ez, however its hard to get into anything unless you start at page 4 (or 44 in some cases). What was that black and white thing with modems?
I got DSL but whatever.

Re: OT: Backwards Threads?
I know, I'm a newb here, and shouldn't complain. But I don't think I've seen something so completely non-intuitive. To go to the bottom, scroll to the top of that post, read down and then move up to the next thread is just....unnatural. I realize that the newest post is at the top, but clicking the 'Last page' button is a lot easier than learning to read in a different manner. And, the 'print friendly' wipes out the sigs and everything else.
I implore any and all gods of this forum to make it an option.
Sorry for making such a negative first appearance.

On the other hand, it highlights the links better.

Re: OT: Backwards Threads?
I don't like the reverse order much, either, although yeah you get used to it. Even if you only want to read the newer Posts, you still have to scroll to the bottom of the screen and read up.
