Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
I saw that DyraUnda took his turn so I know the server is working.
Carloslib should be back tonight. Can we change the title to look for a replacement for parcelt?

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
Does anyone mind if I get this game back on track?
I'd propose the following (to take effect after the first host):
1) No delays in the game except for big holidays until we get down to 6 or fewer players. This is to keep the game moving and because I can't really accommodate lots of server changes.
2) Players whose partner stales/disappears are in charge of finding replacements. I would suggest each partner gives their partner their password in case of an emergency. Players should never put their nation on AI without consulting with their partner.
3) I'll put up a post looking for a replacement EA Ermor. If we can't find one in three days we put EA Ermor on AI and Carloslib can decide if he wishes to continue or flip to AI.
If anyone objects please do so ASAP.

I'd also suggest we allow partners to play both nations until a replacement can be found (or if a temp sub is needed)...not like there's any advantage and it'll help keep people from staling.

Doing so can cause CD-key conflicts and forced stales FYI. I'm not sure if it checks every turn or not, but people should be aware...

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
It will be fine if two different nation's turns are submitted from the same computer, the problem comes if turns for different nations are submitted from different computers (IPs?) with the same cd-key. I have a friend who has taken turns from my computer in a game we were both playing and it works fine.

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
then they've changed it since Dominions II, as i've certainly had the forced stales when having to set a nation to AI using the master pass...

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
Baalz - thats good to know... not sure If I'm up to test it myself but if someone needs to they can do that.
In fact - I've sent parcelt's password (he pmed it to me) to carlosib. He can decide if he wants to do the turn or wait for a replacement.

Re: Allegiances 2 (Large Team-Based Game, RECRUITI
Well, I do reserve the right to be quite wrong, but it worked fine on the two turns that we did that in perpetuality.
