Being imprisoned doesn't count. We've seen your screenshots at wargamer.com. We know the truth.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Well, just now Yom Kippur ended, so that was 25 hours without a computer.
I think I was deep in withdrawl.
Luckily, I got my fix in time.

Hahaha, no, I'm not in the beta. I've just followed the updates very keenly. =)

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I will say that I love the multicultural and diverse nature of these forums. It's a pretty big contrast to, say, the NBA 2k7 forums that I visit. ;-)
The wide range in ages, education, home countries, gaming backgrounds... I really, really enjoy the discussion here, considerably more than any other game forum I've frequented.
So, thanks all.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I'm 30, male, married, 2 children aged 1 and 3 and embracing my gaming addiction. And forcing my wife to embrace me embracing (much to her chagrin). And I'm never gonna stop gaming, I'm having too much fun. My family has a habit of getting in the way of me and my gaming, although in a good way - at least I haven't jumped in on the WoW -bandwagon.
Other hobbies include boardgaming, reading and music (I play bass, yes, I've heard them all.)
Naturally a game as excellent as Dominions 3 isn't going to slip me by. You wouldn't be reading this if it did.
Favourites throughout the ages:
Dominions 1-3, Fallouts 1 and 2, Gold box series, Masters of Magic and Orion (NO, not 3), Civilizations 1 and 4 (enhanced by Fall From Heaven 2), Half-Life -series, Might & Magic 3-8, Age of Wonders -series, Space Empires IV, Wing Commander series, Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2, Archons 1 and 2 (c64-versions) and more more more...

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hello!
I was brought here via the excellent Silent Seas AAR posted by St. Patrik. I'm not sure what specific aspect did it, but it was a very compelling piece that has me considering purchase of a game that was only remotely on my radar.
Remotely, because I originally deemed the game too hardcore - but the AAR made it seem like taking time to learn it would be quite worthwhile
Anyway, 30 year old married male, general IT grunt, Polish (what's up with all the Polish place names in the game anyway? ), currently residing in Minneapolis USA, been gaming since Pong, currently enjoying Deus Ex (again), Dead Rising, Okami when I can steal the TV, and Under the Knife DS. Gaming is pretty much the "thing" I do in my downtime and it's not likely to change
Eagerly awaiting the demo to make my decision! Now I'm off to the screenshot thread...
