Re: Stalings et al.
Well, I would recommend the Evermoors: its beautiful scenery is known throughout the world. Although the evil Ermorean necrophile might have ruined it. Rethild (also known as the Great Swamp) is also a place worth visiting; indeed, just Last summer I myself spent a most invigorating holiday there.
For the connoisseur of the pleasures of the flesh, I'd suggest Mortir Swamp; being placed so near to the Mictlanese lands, a fresh supply of Mictish virgins is assured for prolonged debaucheries. (They are the very best, ask anyone!) Coupled with the moist climate and the unique fauna, the place stays in your heart forever!
I'd say you'd do best to reserve your holiday in advance; especially Mortir Swamp is known to be somewhat dangerous for the unprepared. I'd recommend Mictlan's National Travel Agency, since it has always fulfilled and exceeded my expectations whenever I've used them.
(A city holiday would be mostly a waste of time; you can't come visit Mishtan and the other cities of the continent are really not worth seeing anyways.)
Oh yeah, and I'm glad I can provide some excercise in fleeing for your life; I'm sure it will come in handy later on.

Re: starting?
We've paved the swamps and put up condos, alas. Moreover, the virgins have traded in their purity for surgeon husbands (of many colors) with fast cars and big muscles. They're moving in to the condos, and are so wrapped up in their little lives that they really don't have time for visitors. My apologies.

Assumedly when limbo gets back. He did say he's gone for three weeks, which would estimate the time of arrival to the first week of January.

Whoa. So, yeah, there's a new turn, with an "interesting" turn of events. Check it out and tell if it effects your motivation for the game; has no bearing on my position so I'm cool with continuing, though shocked.

Re: starting?
Well, retiring from Dominions altogether seems a drastic move (unless he was looking for an excuse), but that's a personal thing I suppose. As far as this particular game goes, I'd much prefer to have him subbed than have him AIed...

Re: starting?
Pity... he should have asked to find a sub...

Re: starting?
Alright, I've procured the master-password from limbo and I believe I've canceled the AI-change. So it's time for Find the Sub. (Kinda like Hide the Sub, but not as fun.) Speed is of the essence (since this game has had so much problems already), so I won't even bother posting an ad: contact your buddies directly and bug someone into it. Wasn't there a bunch of new players recently looking for a game?
Due to a misunderstanding I didn't yet get the national 'word from limbo, but have asked for it. If it can't be acquired then the sub gets the masterword, so no trouble there.
Ooh, all this talk about masters and subs makes me all tingly inside!

goodgoodgood
i glad it's not to late to get a sub(although i thought moving to AI was irreversible). for interested parties ermor and abysia have a 3rnd NAP and have about a 6 hex boarder. he has just captured marigons capital and has a small but good armie(from what my scouts report little chaff if any). i would expect (after a long war) that he was going to rebuild and regroup for the next few turns.
