Can't we all just get along instead?

Re: Global War (started!)
I'm sorry you reached that point Indy, more so since I'm really interested in this game.
This leads me to some questions (vote?) I'd like to ask :
1/ Would it be so hard to have all good subing for each other if needed since they're already allied and can share everything in the game ?
2/ Can we put back the timer and NEVER EVER, under any circumstance, put it off again ?
3/ Can anyone who knows he's going out for a trip (business or not) decide in advance if he's going to be able to play or please please warn us in advance so we can look for a sub?
And as I said in a previous post, the game can be played via a simple USB key on any computer with internet access.
Again, I'm not trying to stress anyone. I'm just looking for solutions to avoid losing fast-playing motivated players.

Re: Global War (started!)
Hi Kheldron,
This has been a learning game for the balance of the format for the game organiser. I can see why he has kept stopping the timer. But I think in general it has been a mistake as the game has drifted a lot.
And once you have started stopping the game for one person you it's hard to then refuse another request. And looking at the boards it seems fairly hard to get subs, especially temporary ones (??)
But perhaps the stopping is something not to be done again unless everyone has signed up for a relaxed game?

Re: Global War (started!)
The server seems to be down anyway.
Also, I've been wondering, if Tuidjy does not return for a while, maybe CU could sub for Tuidjy since he is on the same machine...

Re: Global War (started!)
yeah, that's why I asked for the goods to sub for each other. There's no problem IMO since they already can exchange any kind of information

Re: Global War (started!)
OK, I am back from Europe, and should be able to play regularly. But before I
got on the plane, my nation was not the only one holding the game. I am positive
there was someone else. Now I cannot connect.

Re: Global War (started!)
If you are Pythium, you are the last. But the server is down at the moment, and not on a force host schedule, so you should not have any problem getting your turn in. Just be sure to let the host know when he gets back that you need to take your turn.

I think the problem with this is that there would be a CD key conflict. See http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...t=1&PHPSESSID= for more information.
However, I think the host might be able to to play more than one nation from the same machine, but am not sure.

Re: Global War (started!)
I'm back!
Was not a single turn taken when I was away? The server was up for pretty much the whole time, right?
I'm sort of glad, but on the other hand that is strange. As long as it wasn't me who was holding things up.
