Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hello,
my name is Laszlo, and I'm from the same little country as DominionsFan
I'm an MD working on my PhD, so I don't have too much time playing games, but I play Dominions since the first version.
I just got my copy of Dom3, and I hope I will spend many happy hours with it after I finish writing my thesis

Hey, welcome on the boards László. :-)
If you can, come to the Dominions IRC channel -> #dominions on the gamesurge network, we set up blitz games there all the time [TCP/IP].

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I guess I'll join the party. I'm Michael, 34, from Germany, have worked some years for gaming magazines and later switched to online community management/development (been doing this for over a decade now). A few years ago, Gandalf Parker's posts about Dominions on Usenet roused my curiosity about the game, but when I picked up D2 when it came out, I didn't have enough free time to dedicate to the game. Today I finally got my copy of D3, and I've spent most of the afternoon reading the manual and playing the tutorial -- and I can feel the addiction creeping all over me and my spare time already. So, hello to all of you!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
I'm a 48 yr old retail analyst from New York area. My start in gaming was with old Avalon Hill boardgames. Played and painted a lot of miniatures (ACW, WWII, Ancients and yes, Warhammer).
Dom3 has a real fantasy miniatures feel. The guys I played miniatures with would try to create campaigns to play out on strategic maps to generate tactical battles. This game is like the best version of that ever made. Now if only I could pick up the sprites in my hand, feel their weight and admire their paint jobs

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hello, my name is JT and I am hardly a stranger on the Shrapnel forums so many of you might already know me. I spend most of my days in the realm of Space Empires though. I am 18 and currently going to college at Dakota State University. Just got Dominions 3 today and am installing it as I type.
