Re: The map that will never be
LOL.
Thats great. Yes. Let him call MMO time "research".
Hmmm I wonder if in the states that would make it tax deductable as a business expense.
Since I dont list a business, maybe I should list it as game programmer and give that a try.

In that case, I should deduct the cost of Dom3 from my taxes, and list myself as an "independent writer".

Re: The map that will never be
Well, of course it's very important research. You need to find out what the target demographic expects, what's considered state of the art in the genre nowadays, and so on. You make it sound like it wouldn't be the hard work that it is. But since somebody had to do this kind of research for the new game, KO selflessly sacrificed himself.

Re: The map that will never be
No, with Dom3 the trick is to get your boss to buy it and let you play it at work.
Hey Boss, look at this.....
"Diagnostic software designed to maximumly test the limits of
memory, disc read/write access, keyboard and mouse inputs, the highest
video settings and sound quality all concurrently. If used on a regular
basis any changes in system performance would be instantly noticed
before degrading to the point of affecting other softwares."
It's called insert-name-of-favorite-game-here

And that latest bump...so listless...uncapitalized...unpunctuated.
It is as if the bump itself mourns.
