Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Welcome, both of you. Now where's Gandalf when you need him? Hm, found it any way:

your health as much as for monetary reasons. Do not begin on the full
version without first making arrangments for someone to check on you
daily. If you find that your game has continued for more than 36 hours
straight then you should consult a physician immeadiately (Do NOT show
him the game!)

...brr, too true. A real life example for all of you who still hold to a delusion that the Gandalf's quote is just a joke:
I'm currently at work, on saturday, because I should have my master's work ready and finished by monday. And what do I do? Mostly I'm trying to figure out how in the hell my archers armed with mere daggers managed to kill several prot-30 Dai Onis in melee in my first Dom3 2-player MP. Not that I'd have any complains for the heroics of my sween man-eaters...
...oh well, should actually do something productive... :E
And there are a lot of Finns. Yet I haven't played against a countryman since Dom1 days, so maybe we aren't that numerous.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Just turned 26. I earn a living in marketing/marketing consulting in the North Bay Area, California, USA.
When I'm not playing computer games (not much into console games except Final Fantasy) I am a rabid fan of the California Golden Bears college football team (known as Cal), which was my alma mater, and who happen to be a top 10 BCS team this year, with a shot at winning the Pac-10 conference. I attend all the home games.
Been playing since Dom II. I'm a fan of the "good" (give or take) nations such as Pythium and Forges of Ulm (and now New Faith Ermor). I sometimes wish there was a clear Gondor-esque nation of "good" guys in Dom, but what makes the game great is the unique mythos, so maybe I should watch what I wish for. I admire the series for it's complexity, and am ok with the dated graphics, but wouldn't mind an awesome cgi intro showing five or six of the nations battling/sieging/doing what they do.
I'm loving DomIII so far and am looking forward to trying more diverse nations. Love the tactical discussions and wealth of advice here on the board.
So that's me.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi to all,
My first post
Well, let introduce myself. I'm 31, born in Poland (in Swinoujscie - an island, that probably why I like so much R'yleh...) Now, I'm living in France, working in Navy(R'yleh again)...
I began on computers in 1983 with Commodore 64, then Atari ST (Ahhh Dungeon Master...) In 1995 I turned on PC, ah the Civilization series... I liked alot Xcom serie, Flight Simulator, Ultima VII and VII 1/2... and Doom I and II... I also like wargames, both comp. and boardgames...
The ulitimate fantasy game for me was definitly MofM or Master of Magic. (ahhh the Zombie Mastery spell) Since Mofm I just didnt liked all fantasy strat games up to Dominions.
Now, with Dom3 I will probably go for a no life period...

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hello everyone. I am 36 and live in Mobile Alabama (USA). I am married and have a 6 year old daughter with twins on the way. I am a hospital account manager currently meeting the Electronic Medical Record needs of 74 hospitals in the North East and Midwest part of the US.
I have been gaming since I was about 10 years old and prefer turn based strategy games, although games from the Total War series hold my attention as well.
As for hobbies, I travel weekly so they are pretty well limited to the occasional game and designing my own turn based game called "The Chosen" as well as visits to the gym.
I am extremely impressed by the forum and the international participation it seems to foster as well as the variety of its members.
Cheers everyone!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi. I recently turned 25 here in North Carolina, USA. I made the huge mistake of picking this up two weeks before finals. The demo caused me to put off a term paper and since I just received the full version, it appears as if I won't have it ready for this evening either.
Thanks!
