Re: Are you tough enough to be the \"King of the Hi
You have my sympathy Asmala; good luck with finding new ideas to make your status update Posts. Perhaps you should try singing the "Koth page updated" part? At any rate, good luck with coping with the "no identical Posts allowed" rule.
In order to give an actual use to this post, I would like to point out one of the current KOTH games. In the Mark/Renegade game, no turn has been played by Mark for the past ten days; the same happened in a 2vs2 game where Mark was involved. So you might have to do something about this game in the future; unless Renegade has better information that is.
Granted, I am mettling a tad bit in someone else's business, but you (and Renegade) might not know about it. It is though also possible there is no such problem in this case. If it is so, feel free to kick me out of this thread.

Re: Are you tough enough to be the \"King of the Hi
Indeed Alneyan, you are correct. The turn was Last due in my KOTH game on the 5th of this month I believe, and I haven't received a message from Mark telling me why. I was going to wait for another while, then send him an email. Then if that didn't work, then I'd get a hold of Asmala, and see what was going to happen. I really don't want this game to end, that's what happened in my first game (I won by forfeit), and I don't want 2 of my 3 games to end that way. And even if it does end that way, I'd like to remain at my current level of the hill, if possible. I don't feel I would have deserved to climb higher due only to a forfeit.
Perhaps this is premature though. I will send an email to Mark's PBW email address today, and see if I get a response within the next week or so. Stay tuned, I'll post what happens in a bit. Thanks Alneyan for bringing this to my attention...even though I'd already noticed!!

May I suggest sending him a PM instead? He is still present on Dominions 2 forums, and is in fact taking over in a Dom's 2 game, so it is unlikely a matter of real life. I cannot send him a nag directly from the one game where both of us play though; otherwise, that would have likely been quite effective.

That rule is really annoying. Update Posts are usefull because that way I see what games I've updated. It's especially useful when I've been away some time and there's a lot of games waiting an update.

Re: Are you tough enough to be the \"King of the Hi
Well, things on the top of the HILL are quiet. Been a while for an update. Sure was nice when Stoney was around to give updates as he defended.
Personally, I think a lot of Joachim and wonder how he's doing against the very formidable Asmala (who I have the utmost respect for). At 43 turns, I'm going to assume the map I gen'd for the game turned out pretty even and that the player talents are the deciding factor.
So...any updates to post, guys?

Re: Are you tough enough to be the \"King of the Hi
King of the Hill-Asmala vs Joachim 2404.4
Borders are now established and we both got about equal pieces of the galaxy. No proper battles yet though I'd bet soon there will be. Joachim has two fleets waiting over warp points in my side of the system. I think the fleets are only waiting for mine sweepers...
Joachim has lead in scores all the time, so every time I open a new turn I check anxiously whether a giant fleet has appeared somewhere. I haven't seen Joachim's newest ships, but I believe he had a tech advantage. At least his old destroyer designs were quite a lot of more advanced than mine at that time.
(I've been quite busy now that I started my studies in university so there have been lack of updates)
