Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
The real question is: just how large and well equipped this joint British-French force is. A non-reinforced battalion might make for a useful light rapid response force but without some artillery, armor, air support, and most importantly self-contained logistics it's really just a political gambit.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Picture did show British Troops with A French LeCLERC tank.
We'll get more on it's composition soon I would think.

Not having much luck with the 7th mech brigade. I can say it was part of the EUROCON force. If some pictures can be believed it seems a mix of Paras and Legionaries with armor.
JEAN-CLAUDE I can use you here if your looking in.

Pat

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
5,000 warm bodies? Sounds like a small (2 Bn) Brigade, but that sort of makes sense as I presume both the Brits and French probably each sent a Battalion.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
US Army is fielding the Carl Gustav MAAWS to IBCTs starting this year: http://www.janes.com/article/60331/u...or-general-use. Previously these were only in the Ranger battalions.
The article says they will be organic to each rifle platoon, which I'm sure means an arms room concept, i.e. The weapons squad can carry either the Javelins or the Gustavs, or a mix of one and one.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
Wonder why they didn't just get SMAWs like the USMC uses.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
This is where I generally put weapons news by themselves to keep them from "muddy up" the other threads. Anyway this is the SPIKE ATGW I mentioned in my last post from last night in the APC Thread. Called the SPIKE LR II...

Time to get ready to start the work week, have a great day.

No expert but I thought cooling them helped quality a lot, if so looks like technology marches on.

Re: Infantry Served Weapons and Organization.
That boosts the game range to 110 and HEAT pen to 104. I have added it to the Israeli Weapons but it's not mated to a unit as of yet
