How well does XP like sharing HD's? Do I need to manually go in and set the jumper on my master HD if I add a second slave?

Depends.
I have a SATA drive and IDE drive, so no jumper settings needed.
WinXP handles the situation with ease.

Isn't it generally recommended to have 4 or 5 GBs or so for the XP partition? It is fairly bloated, afterall.

Depends. A tiny XP install can fit inside of a GB (WinXP embedded can go all the way down to 5MB, but it can't do anything). My RHEL4 install is actually larger than any install of XP I've ever done...

Perhaps you should look under start -> programs -> accessories -> System tools? Or perhaps on your CD

Done both (Although I can't quite remember if I actually opened the cd - I went through the same steps that installed it with our old cd, but it didn't work.

Re: OT: Installing a second OS
The windows backup thing. It's named 'Backup'. I'm being as helpfull as I can, except to say that it's supposed to be under 'Start Menu' - 'All Programs' - 'Accessories' - 'System Tools' and it isn't.

Re: OT: Installing a second OS
I wouldn't mess with Windows Backup. I have tried to use it with only limited success. Your better off using something like Ghost & make an image of the whole drive.
By the way, you can make a manual dual boot with 2 harddrive while controlling your HD jumpers with a DPDT switch. But when you can do it with the software, why do it.
