Re: War-related phrases ingame
It's going a bit slow, but it takes shape. Here is a picture. Don't be irritated from it, after all it will get the "look and feel" we need. It is formatted as "standardized book page" this way a lector has easygoing in making marks and suggestions between the booklines. A friend of mine, a professional, will do this later on. The next day's i can't work on it, but that's okay cause Don and Andy should decide if the coming passages will be in either personal appeal: "Du, dein" or in a reticent way like: "Sie, ihr". It is because i cant and i dont want to take their pictures and intellectual property and give them a feeling of beeing passed. I only want to make a absolutely correct translation, one for which Camo Workshop does not need to be ashamed of. (And hopefully this will make more people start with SPWW2) Besides, if i get Alzheimer one day, i will need it too.

I have, just by now, seen the recommended Kompozer. It is a fantastic little program. I am thrilled about it.

I understand. It is the same technical function principle, our little french bulldog has, during barking.

I discovered it when I had to rebuild my HDD after it started failing and I couldn't find my old Dreamweaver CD ( I have since found it ....) but Kompozer is a MUCH quicker responding program for what I want it to do. Dreamweaver was dead slow in comparison. I was quite surprised the first time I tried it and made a save how quickly it processed the change.

Re: War-related phrases ingame
I will post parts of the translation in pure .txt format as they come. I would be very grateful if someone overlooks and possibly places changes which do not correspond to the military jargon or is Criticizable. Although I have the imagination to invent me a story about what a Sudanese-Birchpelican thinks while he flies through the air... but a dry translation is not my profession.
I feel ashamed, but it is like a chimpanzee you would put in a zoo at the checkout. If you do not pay attention, there will be ballons bought for the whole money and the woman who have passed the entrance, got imprints on their rear part.
So please, do not spare with editing in either bold or colour.
What I posted is this boring part from the beginning of the GG. It is a very first translation which I still have to improve, consider it as a Placeholder. I just post it, so no one has to think nothing happens. If someone is stalking his time just staring at the room walls, it is of course a nice variety.

Re: War-related phrases ingame
If someone wants to do the same in his native language: I am pleased to go one step ahead every day. For me, it seems to work best to take a passage of the GG and rudimentary transfer it into my language. You can see in the attachment that it is far from beeing perfect. It's better than machine-translating would be, but the text is not, don't know the word, feels not right. It's okay, cause later on this will be easier. This way I am able to create a certain number of lines each day, and this is decisive to me. Today's loot is attached.

Re: War-related phrases ingame
I cannot help you with this or make suggestions other than there are other native German speakers that pop up from time to time that might be able to offer suggestions but the bottom line is anything you do produce will help someone and when it's done I will post it in a sticky thread for anyone to read

I already contacted 'anlube'... I did assist the SPWAW team with the German localization in the past. Ex-army (German) and bi-lingual (DE/EN).

Re: War-related phrases ingame
I read through the intro.. Good translation so far. If you need help and I have time I'd be happy to make a contribution.
