Think those are funny? We have the pleasure of towns like: Blue Balls and Intercourse out here in PA ( Pennsylvania, not Panama ).
Also, thank you to whoever had rated me. Much appreciated

not much to do out there then, Val? maybe Intercourse was supposed to be something like Vinland. Make it sound good to lure in the settlers.

El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles de Porciuncula
I always liked that one.

I think the names have something to do with the Quakers or the Amish. I'd imagine they make a lot of money in T-Shirt sales.

There is a town named hell somewhere, I know it is in one of those M states, just can't remember which one. I remember when I discovered that in 4th grade, ahhh, the hilarity never stopped.

Wondering if I have been rated, (not by my X).
I'll make a text file of interesting city names if folks post them here or email me.

And there's a town in Arizona called Picket Wire which is a deformation from a french word: Purgatoire (purgatory).
Who knows if Ontario was really a native tribe name or something else altogether?

We also have Why, Santa Clause, Punkin Center, and several other interesting town names here, along with one of my all-time favorite landmark names, Silly Mountain. The people who came to Arizona before the advent of air conditioning were truly an interesting breed.
