The weapon bless death has a secondaryeffect of disease, which I think is of the MR resistable type. So the bless death is 2 AN resistible, with a check against disease on hit. The weapons data in the DB has been tested by modding those weapons into units so that you can see the secondary effects, so the disease bit is not just speculation.

Re: Censer and Incense
From your db, it's the irresistible disease 143. I don't know if saving against the 2 points of AN would prevent the disease going off though.

Re: Censer and Incense
Addendum: I'm not sure which disease it is, resistable or non-resistable. The bless death weapon is 448, and the disease weapons are 143 (non-resistable) and 414 (resistable). I recently played a game with Helheim using a D9 bless and it did not seem that enemy units got diseased 100% of the time. Only around 75% to 95% of the time, depending on how good MR they had, so the bless death secondary is probably 414 and resistable.
Unfortunately it is not possible to display weapon data with shift-i the same way you can for units, so if there is more than one weapon with the same name and that name appears as a secondaryeffect, it becomes a guessing game. I do not always guess correctly and it looks like I have guessed incorrectly for the bless death in the past.

Re: Censer and Incense
Whereas I am just totally confused.
So the secondary stun AOE effect of the Censer would be replaced with a D9 AOE AN2 MR attack, which has its own secondary disease effect? O_o
Good thing I didn't take a death bless with Gath, that's all I can say!

Yup. Like I say.. its.. interesting. You actually can take advantage of it if you're... devious.
And I hypothesize that you are not actually wording it perfectly correctly.
You get a D9 AoE AN2 MR attack; however what happens is that you get afflicted. Often diseased - but it I've also seen armloss and feeblemind. I think.

Re: Censer and Incense
You have a high chance at becoming afflicted from the damage, but then you /also/ have a chance at becoming diseased from the secondary effect of death weapons.
