Re: Deathstalker\'s Gold-D-2 Mod Uploaded to PBW
Hey, I'm having problems logging on to the pbw to download the mod. Is anyone else having problems?
Is there another place I can download this mod?

Deathstalker, how about adding the Centauri, Narn, Earth Alliance and Minbari? Yep, I'm a Babylon 5 fan.

Well, I had to go to the spaceempires.net site, then went to the link to the FQM site. And d/l the 31 meg file, which I had to breakdown so I can put on floppies so I can take them home. Came to 23 separate files. I wish they would upgrade the office computers so that they had cd r/w. It would make it a lot easier for me to take files home.

FQM did not exist until about a year after Gold came out, so you will not find it on the CD. The latest Version of FQM Deluxe is 2.08. Check the readme, modinfo or history file in your FQM Deluxe mod and see what Version you have. Though I see you downloaded the latest Version, so...

NOw that you posted the above, I see you misunderstood which cd I'm referring to. I meant my cd I was putting all of my files on, not the original SEIVG disc. I'm having trouble accessing that disc. I hope it's just a glitch, or something easily fixable. I really don't want to go through and d/l all of the files I can't easily compress and put on another disc. As a matter of fact, this is the second time this has happened. I was finally able to get those files off the disc and put on another one. I wonder if my cd r/w is going, or is it the discs themselves can only handle so many readings and writings?

Re: Deathstalker\'s Gold-D-2 Mod Uploaded to PBW
CD R/Ws are usually rated at about 1,000,000 rewritings, but who knows if that is an accurate figure?

Re: Deathstalker\'s Gold-D-2 Mod Uploaded to PBW
Deathstalker, you need to update the modinfo.txt file to have info on your mod. It is currently the file from FQM Deluxe. And so is the History.txt file.
Assuming you don't mind, I have uploaded the mod to SE.net here. Didn't know what to put for the description, due to the lack of an actual readme, so you might want to tell me what you want there.

Re: Deathstalker\'s Gold-D-2 Mod Uploaded to PBW
Thanks Fyron, will write a little blurb tonite (off to work right now) and email it to the site. (along with a new modinfo/history txt I guess, lol). And far from minding, I quite appreciate the work you've done for me in the past as well as now (all the mods you've uploaded to your site as well as PBW in the past).
Imperial, the casino ships actually generate resources, sort of. I've lowered the maintenance to a negative so they generate negative maintenance per turn.....therefore they 'add' money to your pocket. The more expensive the components/mounts you throw on them the more $$ they send you back (the best is Transdimensional Cargo holds with Miniturized Component mounts )

Maybe I bought some crappy discs too? I hope not. I bought a thing of 50 discs when I first got my cd r/w, and I probably haven't gone through half of those yet. I haven't had the chance to be on my home computer much this week; been having car problems and getting home late. Probably over the weekend I'll look at that disc again. But I did d/l the FQM Deluxe 2.08, so I'll install that on my computer too.
