If all units are immobile... then the only battles would be from summoned attack spells. I imagine you were probably joking the same as my post.
lol

Heehee. Sounds like a fun MOD. Turn everyone here into a pretender for their favorite nation with skills and descriptions appropriate for their personalitys. (but of course only if it can be done WITHOUT flamage which I WILL kill such a thread for)

Hey, there were lots of good ideas in there.
Restricting the game to 2 players was cool - that kills kingmaking dead, and that's a good thing.
Getting rid of all maps, except that 64-province one, is also a good way to avoid stupid .map bugs.
Leaving just 6 different units, and removing summons and magics, makes for more realistic gameplay, and balance seems much improved.
I'm not sure why this "Militia" unit (the one you start with 8 of) is only allowed to move to certain provinces, or why you can only move one unit each turn, but the removal of the "simultanous turn" was a logical step, since, with only two players in the game, getting each player to submit his turn quickly won't be as hard anymore.
Overall, I think this gives a much more polished look to the game, and it now has the potential to become a true classic.

Not until just now have I noticed that we have all misread the topic !

Title of Topic:
What do you expect to be in the next patch?

Well that changes my response completely !
I expect to have finished my evolution into an actual ghost king ! I am already ethereal... a few more days and I will be a real ghost king.
or perhaps I am still misreading the title... and the question within the topic title is letting the gamers of dominions_II know that the next patch indicates the gamers will be actually merging with the patch itself.
LOL

Re: What do you expect to be in the next patch?
Hey, check out the new Pretender for all nations that's in the patch!
"Old Geezer"
"This old geezer has complained for ages about all the things that are wrong with the world, and how much better things would be if only he was God. Finally his fellow villagers have forced him to be a Pretender and try for Godhood. He isn't immortal, he isn't hard to kill, but it seems like he's everywhere - you can't get away from his complaining.
The Old Geezer has no innate magic, but is very versatile (all paths cost 200). If he actually had any magic, people would expect him to do something. However, his complaints are very strong, causing all near him to sicken and want to die."
Apparently NOW has gotten its toes into northern Europe, demanding equality for women and men, and insisting on a male equivalent of the Crone.

LMAO!
I think this may be the start of the "Forum regulars--- and their thematic IN GAME avatars!" thread Gandalf was worried about.
It's so perfect.
The way we avoid getting the thread killed... is simply by not assigning names to our suspect simulacra

Unfortunately most of them would be virtually unplayable, as they would have to start feebleminded for thematic reasons.
