Re: EA R\'Lyeh:advice and screenies
Sorry about taking over your thread Salamander. I will move this out to a main post.
And thanks again Shovah. I will of course move many troops with the Kings. They are too expensive to throw out their on their own.

Re: Guide to EA R'Lyeh
I have a couple questions:
1- Will the Mind Lords' enslave mind attack be affected by penetration boosters? Or the regular Aboleths' mind blast attacks?
2- Is the number of polypal spawns created by the mothers based on dominion, or is it just a fixed amount per turn? (Current testing by me seems to indicate a fixed amount.)
3- The polypal spawns' tentacle attack is -5AP, and they have str 5, does this mean that they do 0 damage?
Thanks to anyone able to answer these!

Re: Guide to EA R'Lyeh
1. I doubt it.
2. Looks more like domsummon2 to me. So yeah, based on dominion.
3. No, because dominions uses the DRN which is open ended, so though the average might be 0, you can get higher quite happily.

Re: Guide to EA R'Lyeh
Is it at all possible to thug out the Mind Lords? It seems like the E ones at least could tele in and cast something like ironskin->BE->PL->quickenself->attack They have an aoe 1 life drain attack, which should allow for some major reinvig and regen. It would work even better underwater, since you wouldn't have to carry an amulet of the fish.

Re: Guide to EA R'Lyeh
Yes, but they really really suck against anyone who has a D1 caster. They only have a 'Soul Leech' attack (weapon 269), and it does nothing to longdead/soulless. Breath of Winter doesn't help either of course.
Here's a debug dump of a Mind Lord doing no damage against longdead (only one actually passes the MR check, but it's irrelevant: none take damage).
Code:
Weapon Soul Leech has an aoe 1
blastsqr: unr622 x25 y16 aoe1 dmg0 eff103 spc135297 as-1 al0
affectvic vic624 hv2
hitunit 622 624 dmg0 spec135297 ba1
spec_mr pen 12 mr 9 (unr 622 vic 624 dmg 103 eff 0)
resisted
affectvic vic625 hv2
hitunit 622 625 dmg0 spec135297 ba1
spec_mr pen 12 mr 9 (unr 622 vic 625 dmg 103 eff 0)
affectvic vic627 hv2
hitunit 622 627 dmg0 spec135297 ba1
spec_mr pen 12 mr 9 (unr 622 vic 627 dmg 103 eff 0)
