Guns will fire in space. What kind of gun are you talking about?

Thanks Narf.
I have some minor question about a few observations I have.
One, Stargate SG1. Why haven't the Jafa figured out that radio's work? I mean that horn thing is a horrible way to communicate.
In Voyager, I think the Kazon are like African tribes. Don't ask me why I think this, it just seems logical.
Why won't guns fire in space?
I wonder if we will ever break the speed of light, or exceed it.
What year do you think we will discover that we are not alone in the universe, provided you believe in such a thing?
I do not so I will say never.

The bigger question would be "When will Carter show some skin?"
As to Voyager, it should be Saint Voyager. Geese here on earth it only took one miracle to get sainted.
Guns will fire in space. But the recoil would be a real issue.
According to Cosby, it has already been done. Kids can turn off the light, then jump into bed before it gets dark. Also known as the speed of the dark!

Well, a black powder musket wouldn't. No oxygen.

Well, I do believe we are NOT Alone in this universe, but unfortunately I don't really expect any unquestionable revelations regarding visitations from 'other-worldly' beings.
Well, not in my lifetime anyway. I'm not that lucky.
Cheers!

The universe is destined to end. Before it does, could an advanced civilisation escape via a "wormhole" into a parallel universe?
Interesting article. Link.

Aliens are visiting us already - I have a suspicion that one of my coworkers is from another planet.

Re: The Race to 1k Posts thread.. BYOP!
So, would I be abusing my moderator privilages if I allowed this to continue till post 999 and then locked the thread to new posts?

I think what you is decided would be for the good of the board and fully supported by all. I think you should lock it down at 999 and prevent any other thread from attempting this kind of rule 5 violation agian. In addition, I propose that any one, aside from the moderators that is, have 999 posts deducted from their count as punishment. Let us set an example that will light the way for the next 10,000 posts!
