Re: PBW status
No problems here too. I guess it is a bad connection.

Re: PBW status
I thought so. Does PBW use any kind of special port? There has been no changes to software, so the problem doesn't come from there. However, the router might have come alive again, and my ISP is no longer the same (my ISP is Cegetel, in case a "wide" ban has been set up over this domain).

Re: PBW status
Do you use seiv.pbw.cc or are your trying to access by IP adress, maybe using an outdated one? If you try to access the graphic Version, does the text Version work probably?

Re: PBW status
I use seiv.pbw.cc. Using the IP does not work either. I am using the text Version, and cannot access the graphical Version.
Pinging PBW brings a timeout as well, whereas pinging another site works fine (with a response time under 200 ms).

Re: PBW status
Veeeerrrryyyy strange. Pinging should work for sure. Maybe your ISP does not like .cc? Can you reach www.enic.cc? You didn't try www.seiv.pbw.cc by accident, or your browser tried to "help" by inserting www.?

Re: PBW status
The URL is correct, and there was no www inserted (either by mistake or because of a "friendly" browser). The link you gave has the same symptom as PBW; however, www.trillian.cc works fine. Trillian may be hosted on another "physical" domain though.
In both cases, Firefox manages to connect and tells me to wait while it waits for the server. The page is then loaded for ten minutes or so, before Firefox stops without giving any kind of error message.
I guess it is something about my ISP and this domain; hopefully a temporary glitch rather than a more annoying problem.

Re: PBW status
Alneayn, have you tried it with anowther browser? Do you have IE on that computer? Have you tried the text as well as the graphic UI? It may be a browser issue instead of any kind of ISP thing.

Re: PBW status
My browser did not change, and worked fine under both my previous DSL ISP, and my backup modem. IE does not work either , and Navigator results in the same problem as my trusted Firefox. I do not have any direct link to the graphic Version, and so cannot try this one (I use the text-based Version).
Interestingly, removing my cookies enabled me to get an error message when attempting to reach my game list (logically enough; but PBW worked there). Likewise, the other computer (that has never been touched by PBW), connects to PBW without a glitch.
How are you supposed to send your turn by email? I have tried just attaching the plr file to the mail as a reply, but it doesn't seem to work. Or has this feature been the cause for PBW downfalls, and is disabled because of this?
