Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
Hi
I'm Italian, 47 years old, employee in justice administration.
I've played a lot Dominion 2, only SP, and now I want to try Dom3 in MP.
I learned English playing games, so sorry for my mistakes.

Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
Welcome, all.
Siever, never mind any grammatical mistakes. There are lots of people here for whom English is a second or even a third language, so nobody is going to hold it against you. If your above post is any indication of your average English skills, I know some native speakers who can't manage writing English that well.
So, for a quick rundown on who to ask what specifically, Gandalf Parker for anything related to servers and scripting or maps, Sombre for modding related issues and me for things related to units, weapons, documentation or bug/issues reporting. Of course, that list is by no means exhaustive, there are tons of people here who can drag up the most obscure bits of Dominions lore at the drop of a hat, so ask away and you shall receive.
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
Welcome Siever. Your English is good. This is coming from a native English speaker for the past 39 years. I also work as a paralegal and I write legal reports all day. You will do fine.
And you will find that MP Dom 3 is a very fun way to play. Welcome to the community.

Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
I was going to say, your English is better than lots of people I work with Siever, and they are all US natives.

Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
your English is certainly a lot better than my Italian-and considering the Devs are Swedish...I don't think it matters much.

Thanks to everyone for the support. I only hope you can understand me. For now I won't write an English book (maybe later...) :-)

Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
Hey there.
I'm an America, aged 28. Professionally I'm a financial systems analyst, and as for Dominions history I tried the Dom2 demo and liked it well enough. I didn't get it at the time because I was intimidated by the micromanagement. I tried the Dom3 demo when it became available (the Dom2 demo was always somewhere in the back of my mind), and most of the things that scared me off weren't in the newer game so I got it.
I only have a minimum of SP experience (an almost magic-less EA Ulm game on Silent Seas, and several previous EA and MA games that I terminated within thirty turns), and I'll happily admit that most of you forum folks have forgotten more about the game than I'm likely to learn any time soon, but it's a fun game and I'm looking forward to being slaughtered in MP (and learning from the experience).

Re: Introduce yourself! :-)
Hello,
I'm 17, almost 18 and live in America. I just started to play and only have some SP experience. My friend and I have played a few hotseat games, but he can't afford Dom3 right now. I love this game so far and can't wait to get into some MP action.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)
Hi,
I'm a 20 year old male from Manchester, UK. I'm a computer science grad but thinking of doing my masters in a more business facing subject (I'm too lazy to decide which )
I currently work as a project manager for one of the top 10 pharma companies in the world - I quite like my job but would prefer to be in a different industry sector (i struggle with the big words used in pharma!).
I only just picked up dom 3 after it was recommended by a friend of mine so I thought I'd join the community - I'll mostly be playing SP because of the amount of travel I have to do .
