Re: SE4 Rating System
Slynky, rules question.
In a multiplayer game in which not everybody is rated, ie Great Experiment 3, how do you handle it if a rated player combines with one or more non-rated players and achieves a "team victory"?
The way I am guessing is that as long as he is the Last rated player standing, it doesn't matter if he is teamed with non-rated players since they aren't considered for Ratings purposes anyway. Am I correct about that?
And if two rated players team up they will have to eventually fight it out, or at least declare one of them the victor at the end, right? No team victories between rated players? Or have you added some sort of formula for that that isn't listed in the rules.

Re: SE4 Rating System
I'd agree with what you have said below, Geo.
For example, there is a Pairs game afoot. Whichever pair wins, there will still have to be a single rated player to be declared the winner. I don't really care if they fight it out or one looks at the other and says, "Well, you are obviously the strongest of us two...I'm not going to waste my time trying to fight you...you win over all."
And in the first example, when we say, "Last Man Standing", we really mean Last RATED man standing. I don't care if he came in 5th place. For rating purposes, if there were 3 other rated players who went out of the game before him, he "won" as far as Ratings goes.
So, does it look like we are on the same sheet of music?

Yep, seems reasonable and logical to me.

Why thank you, thank you.
*Stands up*
I am Ragnarok, and I am addicted to PBW and need other ways to fill my urge to play as much as possible. This was my choice and I look forward to getting my arse whooped.
*Sits down*

I think it's too late for that myself, Slynky. I'm on step 15 of the 12 step program and I still haven't made any progress.
