Every time I start a new game (solo), I want to have an element of surprise when encounter other empires. That is not easy when you played SE for I don't know, 1000 times? This is why I have 100+ ship sets and add every new one I like.
More is better !

The new romulan ships rock Atrocities. The Romulans are my favourite star trek race ship wise and i know for a fact that even after starfury is released i'm going to come back to space empires iv. So any more shipsets created is good news. I like to be suprised as well when playing seiv so when new shipsets come out i always add them.

The only criticism i can offer is perhaps the romulan ships are to light. But i can live with that as the models are great! I always wanted to fly around in a custom made Romulan warbird!

I started these before I did the set for Fyron, and have been debating whether or not to work on making a complete set. But once again the question comes up, why bother? I honestly don't know why I should, but I will more than likely do it out of bordom.

You think that these Romulan models are a failure?!? You must be mad. Those are some sweet images and, I might add, much needed. I have wanted the romulans to get a bit of a facelift for a while now. I eagerly await their release.

Nah. Picasso wasn't that good. People were just so confused by his work that they just assumed that it was good.

I'd say he's more like DaVinci. Function as well as form. After all, DaVinci designed helicopters and submarines way back in ye days of olde. If he was alive now I'm pretty sure that he'd be designing quantum powered dreadnoughts.

I'm also a big fan of the Romulan ships. I do hope you complete this set, Atrocities!

PS. I'm amazed that you can do a set in eight hours. It took me a year to do my first (and only) set. I was just asking myself the same question as you were, but for a different reason. Is it worth starting a new SE4 shipset with Moray/Povray, or will SE5 be out before I'm finished?
