Re: Should I microwave my SEIV disk?
Fyron :
I meant anyone else who has bought the first release and has held out. How do you think I got the Gold? Hell, I wasn't about to buy the game twice.

1. Attach disk to dremel.
2. Put on safty glasses.
3. Turn Dremel on High.
4. While at high speed let the disk come in contact with somthing solid.
5. Watch as a hundred peices of cd go flying all over your garage.

Hey, that gives me a great idea for a way to run AOL out of business and purge the world of one more evil!

No no no no... if you *really* want to put AOL out of business, try this:
1> If you don't already have them, get a CD burner, a scanner and a label making kit.
2> scan a real AOL cd, then use the image to make duplicate labels. You can now produce a stack of *fairly* convincing AOL cds. Most computer-savvy people would know the difference straight away, but then most aol Users (in my experience) aren't computer-savvy people.
3> get lots of nasty porn off the web and burn it onto your homemade AOL cds. If you were feeling particularly evil you could also write some creative batch files to be run when the CD is inserted.
4> slip your fake cds into the pile at your local aol distribution point. (You might want to make sure there are no CCTV cameras watching you).
5> buy the local newspaper in your area and wait for the articles from outraged Users. Heheh
*DISCLAIMER* This is probably illegal. Actually, this is almost definitely illegal and could cause all kinds of upset to innocent people (Although you have to admit there undoubtedly would be be a percentage of victims that would be delighted to stumble across a CD of free porn.). That's not the point, don't do it (No, really do it.) Doing this would be very bad. (but you want to, don't you? Go on, do it.) No don't. (Do it) No really, don't do it. (aw, nuts) Or at least if you do do it, don't blame me. (Yeah, that's more like it.)

It insists on installing its own software regardless of your preferences. Thank you very much, MS is already bad enough.

It insists on installing its own software regardless of your preferences. Thank you very much, MS is already bad enough. Poor dial up speeds, Often busy signals, spy ware programs, advertising pop ups, you must run their software which is utter crap, cost, can't play games, and often get disconnected while dowloading or surfing with no warning. Oh ya did I mention all the spy ware they install? And AOL causes Windows XP and W2k to lock up or "Freeze" often enough for MS to issue a DO NOT USE advisory.
Go with a local provider if you can find one. Most of them don't have spy ware and don't buck you off line after 20 minutes of idle time.
