Re: Star Wars vs Star Trek PBW Game
Gandalph,
Is the game a 4 on 4 team game with the ST/SW races, or is it every man for himself?

It is 4 on 4 teams, SW vs ST. Starting positions were random, so you may have started next to an enemy or a friend. You are on your own until you meet up with a partner.

Re: Star Wars vs Star Trek PBW Game
Consequences of missing a turn.
Has anyone seen this before?
It looks like my previous turn wasn't processed.
I had succesfully emailed it and recieved the confirmation, also according to the PBW site it was processed correctly. So my guess is that I has accidentally exited without ending turn, so the turn I had sent was an older one.
Changes in orders weren't made, some ships were I was triying to mass were ordered to scatter, the usual stuff in cases like these. One queue set on emergency build was left empty, and another was prematurely changed to slow.
Yes it's a delay but nothing that cannot be undone or that jeopardizes my strategies, specially since it's only 2401.2
I even like some of the orders the AI gave to new colony ships.
A first contact I had made Last turn appears in the news now, good.
One of the players had offered me a gift, I had attempted to accept it but aparently the AI didn't think it was worth it.
And this is what concerns me:
Now I see I cannot send him a message since I had a "Message Sent" from the beggining of the turn (the politics minister is of course off)
"AI should not make changes to the empire..." wasn't on (now it is) but I don't think that was related to this problem.
Gandalph, can you confirm what answer AI gave you, and if this turn I'm sending you another message (that will have to wait till nex one of course).

Re: Star Wars vs Star Trek PBW Game
All of that is normal; uploading the wrong turn's player file has the same effect as missing the turn. The AI will play that turn for you, reply to diplomatic Messages, etc. even if you turned off all ministers and turned on "AI doesn't make changes in simultaneous games" in Empire Options.
That setting not working is why Geo made the "No AI" mod for PBW.

Re: Star Wars vs Star Trek PBW Game
Yes I know AI played in that turn, including politcs decitions and message answering.
I'm talking about the turn after here.
I think there is some message delay feature that shows news I missed now, and that is good.
But it has a bug since I see message sent in the policis window and cannot send a message this turn.
Otherwise another message was actually sent this turn, perhaps AI controls Lasts until the beggining of this turn.
