Re: Scourge of Nations (Full)
Galadia looks good although I have never actually played on it. I always prefer a bit of space at the start. Alexanders fine too but a lot larger. After being given Utgard I am obviously a bit biased on the CBM as 1.7 weakens my power a lot as it hurts my blood magic, blood sacrificing and thugs and gives nothing in return. So I'd rather we stayed at 1.6 But it doesn't matter that much to me either way.

That's it! CBM 1.6 and everybody rush Utgard.
Well, in fact, I think it will be more difficult for me to make something with LA Caelum without forging some costly boosters and heavy use of gems.

You think you got it bad? I was playing around with Agatha on your settings yesterday. And let me tell you, it was harsh! Normally Agatha is a nation that bunkers up and hope it can survive until it has enough spells for its mages to become useful. That and summon things.
The problem is that under these settings research is hard and magic sites uncommon!
I'm still in though. I've got a Plan. I hope.

Re: Scourge of Nations (Full)
Well..err..(damned, what did we say usually in this sort of case?)...er...the research thing is err...err..thematic! That's it, thematic . Fortunately, you still have your bunker, there is hope (though good luck if you want to go for a walk.). And I am sure you are happy to find a way to loose with panache.
Seriously here is the 2nd reason why I randomized the nations: nobody could claim the Nation he consider perfectly adapted to the setting. The first one is that I didn't want to choose mine (and I bitterly regret ).

Re: Scourge of Nations (Full)
There is a version of Galadia with a fixed connection and preset starting provinces in something like the 7th post in the thread. I think we should use this one.

You can sending your pretenders. No hurry since at least one of us is not at home until wednesday.
Good luck all of you, you will need it since you will be crush between the Agartha's anvil and the Caelum's hammer.

Re: Scourge of Nations (Sending Pretenders)
When did you plan to start exactly? I will be away from a computer with dom3 on it this weekend, starting Friday around noon. I'll be back Sunday evening very late. If you want to start this weekend, could you extend the deadline for the first turn to Monday? If you want to start before: could you extend the deadline for the turn starting on Friday morning?

Re: Scourge of Nations (Sending Pretenders)
Well, I planned to start yesterday but Arco is missing.
I will wait your return until monday (or delay the turn if Arco send his pretender) then I will start the game manually.
