Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
So, before starting this game, there was a long lull where I abstained from Dominions 3. Yet we know its such a great game that no reasonable enthusiast of strategy games could stay away for very long.
I started this game as the latest CBM of the time. Personally, I played more vanilla then CBM in my total career. So the Zemy was an entirely new unit to me, as well as many other summoned commanders. In my calculations, the Zemy is possibly the most cost effective unit in the entire game. I would even put it above tartarians if what your looking for is a unit to stomp with. Now that may be extreme, but its an estimation of the pound-for-pound gain from a simple 30 gem investment. I was unfortunate to be unable obtain fire gems at all for the majority of the game. Even now, my total accumulation of said fire gems have been rather disappointing.
I will now make a sad face and get over it. Onwards!

I think they are overpowered: From my experience they are hard to kill, hard to track down, pack a mean punch, and are relatively cheap to summon. In the few MP games I've been in (four including this one), it seemed that many of the players (including me) scrambled to build as many of these units as possible.
I've been able to find some counters, but they require a fair amount of resources to pull off. I don't know the details, but I think they are being toned down in a future CBM version.

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
If possible, I'll need a 12 hour extension for the turn. Thanks!

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
One staff of storms and my plans go to hell! Why that army? Its like the only army you have sent at me with a staff. Are you psychic? Should I not be thinking when I make up my plans? Just click around randomly and hope for the best?
Edit: Also, 49 commanders. Just saying.

Not psychic, although my mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Re: Primordial Cake - [Game In Progress]
This probably isn't a big deal, but Atlantis staled on that last turn. I don't want to take advantage of someone when they can't fight back, so it might be good to delay hosting if we don't hear back from Danbo.
