Re: Rated Challenges Thread
Suerly a red nebulae would be excellent Slynky?
Game set up, does not want me to assign people, or I cant work it out. Go to screen, put in name and empire name, hit asign and i get a file to download
Oh, and let me apologise now for the probable mistakes I will make with this process!

Re: Rated Challenges Thread
I think it would be better with this mod. Its purpose is to make all systems be the same, with an equal number of planets in every one.
Besides, it will save the hassle of deciding which kind of atmosphere to pick among the teams. Otherwise, I guess Primitive and myself would have a hard time agreeing on whether to take None or something else. (I do have a poor recollection of a certain game where I went for None. *Winks at Joachim*)

Not sure Mark wants to use it (he's coming back after a year off) and I know Primitive doesn't like it. Might check with them beforehand.
So, my French friend, no comments on your characticature ?

I've no idea what the balance mod is, or what it does. I'd rather play without.

Re: Rated Challenges Thread
Are you speaking about the other thread? If it is so, the said footage is a wonderful "-" on my computer. But if I launch the mothballed IE, I can indeed see your malicious work.
Do not fret dear Slynky ; I shall go back to this other thread as soon as I am done plotting in another game. (Read, as soon as I can figure out something witty to throw back at a certain Slynky)

A quick rundown:
It creates a galaxy with (one of) every kind of planet type and atmosphere except NONE. They are all the same size and same resource percentages. No nebulas, asteroid fields, black hole systems, etc. One asteroid field in each system...@ 300% for every resource. All planets are 100%. No moons (as there are no NONE atmospheres). So, in short, no matter what colony type and atmos you take, you are sure to have 3 dome chances in every system and one breathable. It's considered a way to remove a bit more of the luck from a game and I've played on it several times. I like the balance. Others dislike the excitement of knowing what's in each system...Primitive, for one, I believe.

That strange problem still rears its ugly head. I wonder why it afflicts you when I point to an image on the Ratings site and you can't see it yet you can see the Ratings site. Strange.
