Re: Power Beyond Comprehension aka "My power is still raising!" newbie game - Running
I'm assuming summoned troops with 0 upkeep don't desert either - is this correct?

I think that summoned 0 upkeep troops are safe from desertion just like sacreds, but I'm atually not 100% sure of it. I'll ask later in IRC since it could be useful to know in this game.
Also keep in mind that some summons, like trolls, do have upkeep and can desert.

That'll teach me to forget probing defence before storming forts, 238 living ****ing statues! And against those petrification immune lifeless buggers I send a SC with the stone sword and life draining vampires. *facepalm*
At least I killed some druids.
And now I have a definite answer regarding desertion: Units with the sacred tag, commanders, and zero upkeep units (ie. those that have 0 gold cost) don't desert.

Wow, that "Undo the Seal" spell is pretty metal. Haven't seen it in action before. Not only is it utterdark, but for 80D more you get three pretty sweet SCs; a fallen angel, a forgelord and a gemgen titan. Something to watch out for.

Yeah, I knew my druids weren't going to do much -- although I didn't expect they would do such a fine job of killing my statues. Did you manage to kill any, or was that all me?
No doubt you'll find a good way to kill the rest before I can replenish them!

thanks. It begs the question: why did I ever pay these sacred guys? Now I'm getting value for money!

OK, I'm toast. Someone please turn me (Marveni) AI.
(I'd do it myself, but I figure someone might be feeling masochistic and wants to try and win with two seiged castles and no commanders)
